Chrome Boston
Uncompromising Progressive Dance Music. Since 1998.
We’re keeping the momentum high with another curated trip through the archives. This week’s selection focuses on the atmospheric textures and driving rhythms that defined a generation of dance floors.
From the shimmering progressive layers of Chab to the cinematic energy of Z2, these are the sounds that still resonate today.
• Slide 2: Sunscape & Chris Dee – Generik (Chab Mix)
• Slide 3: Raff N Freddy – Deep Progress (Z2 Remix)
• Slide 4: World Clique – Don’t Do It
Turn it up, swipe through the sounds, and let us know which slide is hitting the hardest this week. 🔊

This week, we’re taking a deep dive into the archives of Chrome 01 the legendary mix compilation that helped define an era.
Mixed by the man himself and released on Bliss Productions back in 2000, this mix cd remains a masterclass in the dark, driving, and progressive sound at the turn of the millennium.
Swipe through for a taste of the progressive heat found on the tracklist:
• Slide 3: Luzon - The Baguio Track ( & Palash Addictive Punch Remix) A quintessential tribal-prog weapon. That sub-bass and those hypnotic percussive layers are pure late-night energy.
• Slide 4: - Falling Together (Original Mix) Classic Graham. A melodic, soaring journey that captures that perfect “hands in the air” moment without losing its edge.
• Slide 5: Silvio Ecomo - Standing (Original Mix) Straight-up peak-time power. This one still rattles the walls 26 years later.
Were you on the dancefloor when these were dropping? Drop a 💿 if you still have this CD in your collection.
Chrome Classics this week… we’re diving into that timeless, hypnotic energy. 🖤
Slide 2 — Heller & Farley - The Rising Sun (Bedrock Mix)
Slide 3 — Purple & Lunar - Subtle Thrust (Layback Mix)
Slide 4 — Minimalistix - Struggle for Pleasure (Filterheadz Remix)
Three cuts that sit right in that sweet spot between drive and emotion, made for dark rooms, long blends, and getting completely lost in it.
This is the sound. No trends. No shortcuts. Just pure progression.
CBOS016 // Circle Back
Next up we have a heavy one for the Chrome catalog. Known Unknown returns with the Circle Back EP, and it’s already doing serious damage.
The title track “Circle Back” is a proper tribal groover—heavy on the rhythm and built for those locked-in floor moments. We’ve also got “Her Relentlessness” on the release, plus a masterclass dub from the legend Chris Fortier.
Massive thanks to Hernan Cattaneo, Danny Tenaglia, Anthony Pappa, Simply City, DJ Ruby, Steve Parry, and Nick Stoynoff for the early support.
Dates:
• Vinyl Pre-order: LIVE (Link in bio)
• Vinyl Release: April 17th
• Digital Release: May 8th

This week we’re revisiting the records that owned the room when the lights dimmed at Axis. These are the some of darker gems that defined the peak-time energy, tracks built for the smoke and the shadows.
• Slide 2: Tijuana — Groove Is In The Air (Simon’s Future Dreams Mix)
• Slide 3: The Breakfreaker — No Way Out (Dimas Remix)
• Slide 4: ECVM — Circuit Breaker (John Creamer & Stephane K Remix)
Pure underground grit that still carries the same weight today as it did back then.
We’re back for the second week of our new social media series, Chrome Classics!
Every Thursday, we’re digging into the archives to celebrate the tracks that defined the Lansdowne sound. After kicking things off with the hometown anthems last week, it’s only right we dive into the records that provided the atmosphere and the edge inside Axis.
These three are absolute pillars of that era:
• Slide 2 | Space Manoeuvres - Stage One (Separation Mix):
• Slide 3 | - Sanctuary
• Slide 4 | - My Little Dancing Girl
Join us every Thursday as we continue to revisit the music that shaped our journey.
Chrome Classics. Every Thursday.
