The Jenny Thompson Meet will not be held this summer.

While we’re disappointed that circumstances didn’t come together in time to host one of New England’s favorite summer meets, Great Bay Masters hopes to bring the event back next year.

The good news? There are still plenty of opportunities to race, challenge yourself, and connect with fellow swimmers throughout the season. Be sure to check out the NELMSC event calendar for upcoming pool and open water events.

Looking for a fast, fun, low-pressure racing opportunity? Consider the July Summer Sprint Meet on July 16 and the August Summer Sprint Meet on August 13, both hosted on Thursday evenings in Milton. These sprint-focused meets are perfect for shaking off the rust, trying something new, or tuning up for a big event.

Whether you’re headed to Swim With A Mission, Glen Lake Swim, Summer Nationals, or one of the many other events on the calendar, we hope to see you on deck or in the water this summer.

Against the Tide Makes Waves in Hopkinton! 🌊🏊‍♀️

The second stop of the 2026 New England Open Water Series brought swimmers to Hopkinton State Park on a picture-perfect June morning for the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition’s Against the Tide event. Blue skies, rolling clouds, and a lake full of determined swimmers made for an unforgettable day in and around the water. ☀️

More than just a swim, Against the Tide supports the important work of the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition and its mission of breast cancer prevention through education and advocacy..

Missed Hopkinton? There’s still time to be part of this fantastic event! Join the 27th Annual Against the Tide Cape Cod event in Brewster on June 27 and experience open water swimming on one of New England’s most beautiful coastlines. The Brewster swim is also part of the 2026 New England Open Water Series and offers another opportunity to support a great cause while enjoying a memorable day on the water.
