Understanding and reading terrain is a crucial skill to have when working on Land Navigation. Being able to locate yourself on a topographical map can mean the difference between winning and losing, or in some cases life or death.
Being able to coordinate with team members or others in a hunting party allows you to make plans cover ground and avoid dangerous places. What do you find is the most useful feature on a topic?

Discipline:
Some come by this skill in a way that can only be described as inherently while others struggle with it everyday.
Waking up early, limiting screen time, exercising regularly. For each person discipline is for different reasons. For us, discipline is the ability to sit silently in the woods for hours during a hunt. Or making sure that our last leg of the stalk back to camp is just as quiet as when we were in the thick of a hunt.
For others it might be getting to class on time and prepared for the day.

In martial arts a wise man once said “ Do not fear the man that has a thousand kicks, fear the man that has kicked a thousand times.” This statement is true in many facets of life. Knots are no different, knowing one good knot is more useful than knowing many fancy knots. To this statement, one of the most useful knots we have found has to be the bowline. It’s easily one of the most versatile knots out there when camping, hunting, climbing and more. A bowline is both very strong when done well as well as easy to untie.
