Last night, we joined “A Night of Mediumship” in support of North Suffolk Community Services and No Lost Cause —an evening centered on connection and community.

We’re grateful for our continued partnership with organizations like NSCS, whose work provides critical support and life-changing services to those who need it most.

Joined the Friends of the Public Garden for their annual meeting! 🌸

Parks are a regional and national treasure, and it was inspiring to see a community of friends representing 33 states come together in support of them. These historic green spaces have an impact far beyond Boston, and their continued care depends on strong public-private partnerships and shared stewardship.

At yesterday’s Housing for All Caucus, Rep. Mike Connolly and I co-chaired a discussion on single-stair buildings.

Many thanks to our guest speakers, Jesse Kanson-Benanav of Abundant Housing MA and Tim Love of the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Together, we explored how permitting single-staircase buildings up to six stories could unlock thousands of new homes, reduce construction costs, and enable development on smaller, irregular lots. We also discussed concerns raised by fire chiefs and identified ways to continue engaging public safety professionals in this conversation moving forward.

Boston is defined by its unwavering dedication to community, a truth that has only grown stronger in the years since the tragedy 12 years ago at the Boston Marathon. In the face of grief, our neighbors, and people around the world, came together in an extraordinary show of support and compassion.

Today, we honor those we lost by leaning on our community members and displaying acts of kindness, big and small. On One Boston Day, we celebrate our city’s resilience by showing up for one another through kindness, generosity, and unity.

Welcoming Bad Bunny Super Bowl halftime performers Justin, Cristina, Angel, and Jorge to the State House!

This talented group isn’t just a team of elite stunt performers—they’re a family, and proud residents of East Boston. We’re honored to celebrate this incredible achievement with them.

Their journey is especially inspiring: from growing up in the Maverick Projects to sharing their passion for stunts and performance with their community, they’ve turned dedication into opportunity and impact.

Justin has taken on standout roles, including “Diego” in Cobra Kai, and captivated millions as Bad Bunny’s stunt double and one of the halftime show’s light-pole dancers. His wife, Jewelianna, also performed as a light-pole dancer and has appeared in major productions such as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Cobra Kai, Beetlejuice, Superman, and more.

Thank you to this incredible family for representing East Boston on one of the world’s biggest stages!

(Look for Cristina, Angel and Jorge in the living room scene where Bad Bunny falls through the roof, and Justin and Jewelianna on the light poles!)

In this moment of political Tweets and taunts, we must remember to stick together and keep our eyes on the prize. We are stronger when we come together and stay focused.
