The Soviet aircraft carrier "Baku" (CVHG 103) was a Kiev-class vessel, known for its unique capability to operate Vertical/Short Take-Off and Landing (V/STOL) aircraft; after the fall of the Soviet Union, it was renamed "Admiral Gorshkov" and eventually sold to India where it is now known as the INS Vikramaditya following extensive upgrades.

Key points about the Baku:

Class: Kiev-class

Notable feature: Primarily operated V/STOL aircraft like the Yak-38 Forger and Ka-27 Helix helicopters.

Name change: Following the Soviet collapse, it was renamed "Admiral Gorshkov" after the prominent Soviet naval commander.
Current status: Sold to India and now operates as the INS Vikramaditya.
