The NSCDA-MA has partnered with Revolution 250, a consortium of not-for-profit, for-profit, corporate partners, and individuals across Massachusetts who are exploring the history of the American Revolution and celebrating the 250th anniversaries of many of the events that led to the Revolution.

This August, in addition to celebrating the 250 day countdown to the 250th anniversary of April 19th 1775, Revolution 250 is also celebrating the 200th anniversary of Lafayette’s Farewell Tour in America.



Revolution 250 Events in Massachusetts include:



August 11th - The Concord Museum begins the countdown to the 250th anniversary of April 19, 1775. At this event, you will see the lantern that was used as a signal on the night of Paul Revere’s midnight ride along with other objects that witnessed this pivotal day in history. 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM https://concordmuseum.org/event/250-days-to-the-250th/

249 years ago, on June 17th, 1775, Colonel William Prescott led colonial militiamen and fought against the British Army in the Battle of Bunker Hill.
Colonel William Prescott is the grandfather of William Hickling Prescott, whose house now serves as the headquarter of NSCDA.
During the tour, visitors also get the chance to admire Colonel William Prescott’s sword on display in the house.
