Give Abigail a blank canvas, and she’ll hand it back better than you ever imagined. 🎨
Meet Abigail, Creative Manager here at Portfire. “I’ll agonize over every detail until everyone is happy,” she says. “This is the perfect industry for a people-pleaser.”
A few things you should know about this Epsom, NH local: she paints coastal New England scenes in her spare time (Etsy shop coming soon 👀), and she’s full-time mom to Doc, an 82-pound Golden Retriever who’s convinced he’s a lap dog.
“People may not remember my name or the color of the linens,” Abigail says, “but they’ll remember how an experience made them feel.”

Our clients (and their very lucky guests) got a taste of cool-weather magic all week long: a private island clambake in Boston Harbor, salt air and all. A warehouse that went from empty shell to “wait, this is the same room?” in a single build day. A dinner table set against the Maine coastline that stopped guests mid-sentence.
Just a few of the rooms we got to build this week, and peak foliage hasn’t even hit yet. 🔥
We’ll take “before peak” New England any day.

This Labor Day, the Portfire team is doing what we do best: balancing work and play. Some last-minute weekends up north in NH, coastline in Maine, a final Cape Cod sunset… and prepping for a major event landing Wednesday, all at the same time.

It’s Meet the Team Monday!
Meet Bri 🦞 Portfire Account Manager, Maine native, and self-appointed Falmouth Town Landing tour guide.
Bri’s favorite part of the job is the moment a client’s vision comes alive, and the reaction that follows. “When the client sees it and lights up, that’s when you know you truly knocked it out of the park.”
A few things to know about Bri: night owl, ocean over mountains, dog person, and never without her Hokas, a pair of scissors, and a smile.
“I love creating experiences because I get to share a place I truly love.”

This week? A little bit wild and a whole lot of New England with the Portfire crew!
We started by crossing paths with the Great Elephant Migration, because nothing says “keep it interesting” quite like a herd of life-size elephants wandering the city. From there we traded sidewalks for shoreline, scouting a coastal site for an upcoming clambake. We may have taken a moment to just stare at the water, no shame.
Midweek brought one of our favorite kinds of nights: an intimate dinner where navy linens, lush white and blue blooms, and a view for days did all the talking. We also debuted a gift activation guests genuinely lingered over, live painted totes and hand-set resin sea art, the kind of keepsake that beats a tote bag full of pens any day.
We wrapped it all up the way we like to: on-site with a client, boots on the ground, already planning the next one.
That’s a week in the life at Portfire. Big personality, buttoned-up ex*****on, a little New England charm stirred in.
