๐ฅAssess your work life. What are your burnout triggers? Knowing those makes it a million times easier to work through these things. Is it your schedule? Patient population? Toxic workplace issues? Inability to leave work at work? Do you need to set some boundaries or self advocated to tweak something?โฆthe list goes on โฃโฃ

๐ฅAssess your lifestyle: when are you feeling at your worst? are you active, eating regular meals, hydrating, mindful. If you can truly assess where your gaps Are it make it easier to treatโฃโฃ

๐๐๐๐๐: if you like the bedside COOL. If you donโt, thatโs cool too. DO what you like not what you THINK you should be doing. We have SO many options and you are an incredible nurse making a difference even if you work in a โnon traditionalโ role!โฃ

๐ฅ๐๐ฒ๐ญ๐ก ๐: You have to stay in a toxic job that is causing you significant mental distress for X yearsโฃ
๐๐๐๐๐: no job is worth sacrificing your mental health. You do not need to set yourself on fire to keep other people warm. Its ok to think about the life you want and choose a job based on that rather than squeezing in life around your job. โฃ

๐ฅ๐๐ฒ๐ญ๐ก ๐: Non bedside roles make you less of a nurseโฃ
๐๐๐๐๐: Nope! You are making a difference each and every day. Everyone has a difference place, role, speciality, level of expertise and we are all essential. Even if your job is less technically difficult or less complex than another job it doesnโt make it any less important! โฃ

๐Having clarity on what makes you happy? What brings you joy? Who you are as a HUMAN outside of nursing?
๐Having energy after your shift is over to do those things and Netflix isnโt the default?
๐Having more confidence both in and out of work? And rewriting all the false stories you are telling yourself that hold you back?
๐Having clear routines and habits that support your health physically and mentally? That you stick to?
๐Knowing how to set boundaries with work, your social group and maybe even yourself?
๐Knowing how to self advocate? Stand up for yourself?
๐Navigating toxicity at work and knowing when enough is enough?
๐Knowing your values and how to act in alignment with them?
๐Knowing what burnout looks like and feels like so that you can act before it consumes you?
