This design has 12. 😳 And yes, I chose it knowing I have a single-needle machine. Clearly, I have a problem. 😂

Do you ever look at a design and think, “Nope. WAYYY too many colors. I’m not doing that”?

Here are a few things I've learned creating rhinestone templates in Silhouette Studio. 1) It's not just a one-click button process. 2) You will need to make adjustments to get your final design. 3) Your starting point also matters - not all fonts will work! ✨

So should I do an all rhinestone design or embroidery + rhinestones?

I’ve made shaker bag tags before, but this time I wanted to try one without the shaker element.

The problem?

Two layers of marine vinyl just weren’t giving me the structure I wanted. 😩

So I reached out to Appliqué Alley's Facebook group for some help, and the difference between the first attempt and the second one is HUGE! 🙌

I love when a project doesn’t quite work the first time but a little advice and experimenting can turn it around. ❤️

🎃 Spooky Season — but make it YOUR kind of spooky. 👻

I made two versions of this sweatshirt because I wanted two completely different looks.

🖤 Black glitter: understated from a distance, but get a little closer and you start to see the shine. And if you know me, you know I LOVE me some shine. ✨

🖤🤍 Checkerboard: I wanted to do something a little different than simply using glitter, and I love how the checkerboard fabric gives “Spooky” a completely different look.

Apparently finding the perfect brown thread for a fall design is going to be a whole thing. 😂🤎

I just want a rich, dark chocolate suede brown… is that really too much to ask?!
