We sit down with Mitchell (Co-Chair) and Sean (Member) of the Dirigo Union 24 hours before Hearts Of Pine play their first ever match in Portland, at Fitzpatrick Stadium. The two shed light onto the founding of the supporters group, their involvement with the club, and the challenges along the way .

This group waited half a decade to see their club come to life. Members added, support grew, and you’d think these supporters had been around forever. May 4th 2025, the day a stake was driven deep into the earth at Fitzpatrick Stadium to finally bring a club home. Through the smoke, from beneath the tifo, and after a wait worth half a decade the supporters enjoyed the team that is now… and always was theirs. Once this movement began it was inevitable that this day would come because “no” was never an acceptable answer. The moments that we observed will stick with us as lasting memories and serve as stories to pass along to other soccer fans on our journey. When you lead with your heart you can never put a foot wrong. Thank you Maine 🫶
