This structure is master class in carpentry and is a reflection of our permanence in the neighbor. Its quality is a reflection of the value we place in the flowers and plants we sell and the value we place in the people we serve.

Season’s Greetings,
Dear friends, this is our 94th Christmas as your family-owned flower shop. Many of you know that I was born and raised across the street and my mother was born in the house next door (you can see the house in this photo). The corner is special to us; from what I hear from the community, it is special to all of us.
My first job was helping with the Christmas trees. I helped unload the trucks, unwrap them, and color-code the bottoms. I remember that red and blue were $20 (our best seller). Believe it or not, we also had $100 in the late 1970s.
Along with managing the 8-track tape that blared Johnny Mathis, I kept an eye on the shop kittens and made plenty of hot chocolate. We also had open fires. For young boys like myself, my brother, and my cousin, we were in heaven. We even used our Evel Knievel toy motorcycle to jump the fires. Alas, one day he plunged to his demise.
Things have changed. The weather is a bit warmer, the hot chocolate is cappuccino and Johnny Mathis blares from a computer instead of an 8-track.
We grew poinsettias again this year. So much of what we do reflects our roots. Labor of love. I look forward to coming to work and making a difference. Thank you for keeping us going.
Come by if you can. Everyone is rushed and busy. The bike lanes and narrower streets have kept a lot of folks away but we persist. I think you will love the holiday decor this year and the new sign!
We could not be here today without you. Thank and best wishes for a Happy and Healthy New Year!
Merry Christmas
Rick
