We were so thrilled to round out October Seafood Month with an interactive discussion on seafood sustainability with our friends from Eating with the Ecosystem & MITDesignX 🦪🐟

We have been busy here at MSC this autumn getting out in front of the public and campaigning on our issues. We have focused on offshore wind, nuclear dumping, regulatory reform, and combatting false narratives.

We have been proud to educate people on the dangers of offshore wind, the sustainability and safety of the lobster industry, and the need to economically support our fishermen, fisheries, and infrastructure.

Thanks to all who have joined us - keep your eyes peeled for some excited events to come!

On this national lobster day, we give a nod to our lobsterman who drive the second most valuable fishery in the Bay State 🦞

Our lobstermen face the most onerous regulatory scheme in our industry, but cooperate out of an abundance of care and caution to protect Right Whales.

The endangered North Atlantic Right Whale has seen a dramatic decrease in mortalities since 2017, with the last fatality in Massachusetts waters occurring in 2018. The statistics prove these regulations work. However, there is a new push—backed by out of state special interest groups— to saddle lobstermen with unnecessary new closures, gear requirements, and regulations.

We stand with our lobsterman, who against all odds work diligently to protect their historic livelihood and the ocean environment that makes it all possible. Check the link in bio to learn more about where to buy local MA seafood & how to take action to preserve the industry!

‼️Hyannis Port is an active and busy working waterfront. However, the port’s infrastructure (dockage, commercial space) is no longer sufficient to allow us to do our jobs safely and productively.

With a flush of federal and state dollars floating around it’s imperative we invest in ports like Hyannis.
