Spring is full-on and the hummingbirds are back!!! I've been digging up invasive plants in my small acreage in Massachusetts and replacing them with natives such as this coral honeysuckle vine. Our hummers beaks are a perfect fit! Nature has a plan so much better than our own, so we need to relax and embrace it.
400 mm, F 6.3, ISO 500, 1/1200 sec. and patience watching the flower grow!
Have to share this one. He has the moves!

This image goes back to our Fall Elk Rut trip to Pennsylvania. We got up very early because the elk are crepuscular and wander off into the woods to rest and chew their cuds as the day gets bright. I delighted in the frost in the morning hills. Look what a perfect leaf this is!

I'm breaking up my poppy trip to California with this one taken alongside of the Cape Cod Canal. The water pattern is relaxing for me to gaze at.

This composite Image named "End of the Road, No Parking" addresses climate change and was done in collaboration with Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute and the Cape Cod Art Center in the show" "Documenting Change". One First Place was given and two Honorable Mentions. This received the first Honorable mention Award. While one can talk about the changes occurring, making a visual statement and saying it without words is not so easy. This is a multiple exposure/ composite of three images. The Cape is losing 3" or more of land each year as waters warm and rise and storms become more severe.
