For the second year, Comfort Kitchen returns to Powisset Farm. This time we invite you to join us on Juneteenth to celebrate and share a meal brought to us by three talented chefs.

Chef Sāsha Coleman our Head Chef at Comfort Kitchen and James Beard Award semifinalist.

Chef Valentine Howell two-time James Beard Award nominee and Top Chef alum, owner of Black Cat Eatery with an acclaimed residency at Wink & Nod . 

Chef Nyanyika Banda award-winning Malawian-American chef, author of Black Panther: The Official Wakanda Cookbook, and Executive Chef of Red Jacket Resorts .

Pepper Soup is a cherished Nigerian staple—light but deeply spiced, traditionally shared at moments of healing, celebration, and togetherness. Its rich flavor profile derived from indigenous spices, a dish meant to restore and comfort.

Our ✨ Pepper Soup Sliders ✨ special made it onto our menu as a fixture! Now we can continue to carry those flavors in something handheld and indulgent.

Slow-cooked short rib seasoned with our in-house pepper soup blend of iru, uda, alligator pepper, nutmeg, and ginger. Finished with melty Münster cheese, crispy fried onions, horseradish aioli, and a buttery brioche bun.

Comfort Kitchen returns to Powisset Farm for a Juneteenth gathering rooted in remembrance, celebration, and community.
