On Saturday night, May 23rd, Boston firefighter and Marine veteran, Robert Kilduff Jr. was killed in the line of duty. Kilduff, of Rescue Co. 2, suffered severe injuries in a fall from the third floor of a burning home at 18 Treadway Road in Dorchester and died at Boston Medical Center despite the best efforts of firefighters on scene, Boston EMS and the hospital staff. He leaves behind two adult children, a girlfriend and her children.

Local S-2 extends our most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Boston Firefighter Bobby “BK” Kilduff who lost his life while operating at a 3 - alarm fire last evening.

The replacement for Command 4 is slated to arrive this week at Boston Logan International Airport.
