We will have a two bedroom 1 bath apartment in a duplex ready for rent by December 1st. It’s at 527 Benton Street. I unfortunately don’t have good pictures of inside. It has been partially remodeled within the last year. I will start showing it late November to anyone interested. You can also fill out a free application if you would like.
$800 a month or $850 with a pet. 1 month rent for security deposit. It’s very rare that we have any openings in our apartments or homes. Here’s an opportunity.

The Unseen Realities of Real Estate Investment
Investing in real estate, especially in underserved areas, often involves challenges that go beyond financial considerations.
Recently, I faced a distressing situation where I had to evict a tenant after discovering severe neglect of an animal. A dog had been confined to the basement for extended periods, living in very unsanitary conditions. The tenant has since disappeared, leaving behind a property in need of significant cleaning and repair.
This experience underscores that property ownership isn’t solely about transactions; it’s about responsibility and sometimes confronting difficult issues. Issues that are hard to confront another person about, and control your emotions Good landlords often find themselves in roles that require them to educate and guide tenants on maintaining a safe and healthy living environment—for themselves, their families, and their pets. Something that i was not aware of when i started this journey.
Real estate investment isn’t always glamorous, but it’s a path that demands resilience, boldness, compassion, and a commitment. This is a path for some, but definitely not for the majority. You have to be a little bit different in your mindset or it’ll drive you crazy.

I am selling my property in Woodward, Iowa. It is presently rented. It has a house and two garages. It has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. I left the single garage with the house, but have been renting the other garage to another person. Right now I'm getting $642 in rents (although I could be asking more).
Both tenants have been in place for over 3 years. The house has been partially remodeled twice. The kitchen and bathroom will likely need some work at some point. It has a newer steel roof on the front and a newer asphalt roof on the back. The single garage could use a new roof. I would take $70,000 or best offer. Please contact me through DM - I can explain why I'm selling the home, and set up looking through it, or answering questions.

Does Being Self-Employed Really Mean Freedom?
Social media influencers love to sell the dream: quit your 9-to-5, be your own boss, and live a life of ultimate freedom. But let’s talk about the part they don’t mention.
Yes, being self-employed gives you more control over your schedule—you can take a Tuesday afternoon off or work from anywhere. But true “freedom” depends on how you define it. In reality, you often trade a structured job for longer hours, unpredictable income, and the constant mental weight of running a business. You don’t clock out; your work follows you everywhere.
For some, that’s worth it. For others, the security of a steady paycheck and defined work hours is a different kind of freedom. There’s no right answer, but don’t let the highlight reels fool you—entrepreneurship is freeing in some ways, but it also comes with its own set of chains.
What does freedom mean to you? Let’s discuss.
