For tracks and series, I'd be looking for media access to the infield (My time in the military, on an aircraft carrier, means my head is always on a swivel), pits, staging areas, and other 'behind the scenes' locations around the facility to capture the sights, sounds, and stories that make dirt track racing special.
My mission is simple:
PUT BUTTS IN THE SEATS.
I want to help tell the stories of racers, teams, tracks, sponsors, and fans while introducing dirt track racing to new audiences across the country. Our sport has incredible personalities, unforgettable moments, and some of the most passionate fans anywhere. Let's make sure more people see it.

THE BOONE SPOON
Trackside Ambassador
What is a Trackside Ambassador?
To me, it means being a positive voice for the racing community.
My mission is to support drivers, teams, tracks, sponsors, and fans while helping promote the sport of dirt track racing. Whether it's sharing race results, interviewing racers, highlighting sponsors, posting photos and videos, filling in as an announcer, or simply helping people feel connected to the racing community, I want to do my part to help this sport continue to GROW.
I'm not a driver.
I'm not a team owner.
I'm a fan and a track official, who loves racing and wants to shine a spotlight on the people who make it happen every weekend.
If I can help one driver gain a fan, one sponsor gain a customer, or one track gain a spectator, then I'm doing my job.
Thank you to everyone who follows along and supports what I'm building. Feel free to like and share content to join the cause!
If you'd like The Boone Spoon to visit and feature your track, team, driver, or sponsors.. please reach out!
If you would like to sponsor my efforts, to make it to more tracks further out, feel free to reach out about this as well!

π₯π BOYD BARN BURNER DELIVERS BIG CAR COUNTS AND BIGGER ACTION ππ₯
Friday night at Boyd Raceway brought 127 race teams through the pit gate and produced one of the strongest weekly shows of the season.
π WINGED MICROS STEAL THE SPOTLIGHT
The night's marquee attraction was the Winged A-Class Micros, and they didn't disappoint.
A stacked 28-car field rolled into Boyd chasing a $1,000 winner's check and the bragging rights that come with beating one of the toughest micro fields in the region. When the checkered flag flew, it was Dawson Woods parking the No. 83 in Victory Lane.
The drive of the night belonged to Dalten Maust, who sliced through traffic and advanced 9 positions to finish second and earn Hard Charger honors in the night's headline division.
π DOUBLE DUTY DOMINANCE
While the Winged Micros grabbed the headlines, Jeffrey Abbey quietly put together one of the most impressive performances of the night.
The Rhome, Texas driver found Victory Lane not once, but twice, sweeping both the Stock Car and Factory Stock features. In a sport where winning one feature is tough enough, Abbey loaded two trophies into the trailer before heading home and earned this week's The Boone Spoon Ironman Spotlight!

π The Boone Spoon IRONMAN SPOTLIGHT
Jeffrey Abbey ( #37)
Winning one feature is tough. Winning two in different divisions on the same night is something special.
Abbey swept both the Stock Car and Factory Stock features, making him the clear choice for this week's Boone Spoon Ironman Award.
π Hats off to every driver, crew member, official, sponsor, and fan who helped make Friday night's Boyd Barn Burner a success.
Big fields.
Big payouts.
Big moves through the pack.
And one driver leaving with enough hardware for two trophy shelves.
That's dirt racing.

π₯π RED RIVER RUMBLE ROCKS GRAYSON COUNTY SPEEDWAY ππ₯ - written by The Boone Spoon
If you weren't at Grayson County Speedway Saturday night, you missed one heck of a show.
A whopping 135 race teams rolled through the pit gate for the Red River Rumble, and from the first heat race to the final checkered flag, the action never let up.
The Lone Star Dwarf Car Club rolled into Bells and ran their feature GREEN to CHECKERED, and turned their feature into a family affair. When the checkered flag flew, it was the Hull family sweeping the entire podium as Chance Hull led home Rawdy Hull in a memorable 1-2 finish. Darren Hull completed the family sweep in third, giving the Hulls the entire podium, a night they'll be talking about for a while and proving why the traveling Dwarf Car series is ALWAYS a fan favorite, anywhere they go!!
The Midwest Hornet Dirt Series were equally impressive, bringing a stacked 35-car field that required four heat races, two B-Mains, and a 30-lap feature. When the dust settled, it was Blake Andrus parking the No. 911 in Victory Lane after surviving one of the toughest fields of the night.
But one of the wildest stories of the evening belonged to Shawn Brownlee and the No. 41S Hornet.
Before he ever got to the racetrack, Brownlee's car came off the trailer on the trip to Bells. After making the trip back to recover the car from impound, he hustled back to the speedway and arrived just in time to make his heat race.
Unfortunately, his night took another turn when he and Jim Cook's No. 80 got together exiting Turn 3, resulting in a violent rollover against the outside wall. Thankfully both drivers walked away, but it was a tough ending to what had already been an unbelievable day.
πͺ INTERMISSION BELONGED TO FORD COUNTRY
The Glow Down Showdown Truck Tug-A-War was one of the biggest hits of the night as Ford, Chevy, and Dodge owners lined up to settle some bragging rights.
When the rope got tight and the dirt started flying, the Blue Oval brigade proved too much to handle. Ford trucks out-pulled the competition and walked away with the bragging rights as the grandstands erupted during one of the most entertaining intermission events of the season.

Shawn Brownlee ( # 41S)
Not many racers would have even made it to the track after the day he had. Losing a car off the trailer, recovering it from impound, making the show, and still strapping in to race earns the respect of everyone in the pits.
π Hats off to every driver, crew member, official, sponsor, and fan who made the Red River Rumble one to remember
Thank you to NightShift Automotive Movement for the truck pull and turning GCS into some type of redneck race with glow sticks and bubbles filling the air!
The GSC announcer James Brown was on point as always, and it was GREAT hearing Collin Bell on the mic, making the calls for the Midwest Hornet Dirt Series!
Y'all
That's dirt racing.
Sometimes it's trophies.
Sometimes it's torn-up race cars.
Sometimes it's one family loading up all the hardware.
Sometimes it's recovering a race car from impound just to make the show.
And sometimes it's Ford fans dragging the competition backwards, or into a hole, in front of a packed grandstans!
Saturday night in Bells had a little bit of all of it.
