One of the problems with being so busy with shop work is that it is hard to find time to post on Facebook. We have been very busy, so much that we had to expand our work space. We finished off the other half of the building. Automotive repair is in the West side and Ag, lawn and garden, power sports, heavy duty and tire sercice is located in the east side. We have purchased a new tire machine and balancer for our tire service We thank our customers so very much for your business and continued support. We look forward to serving you in the future!

Have you tested your antifreeze?
No, not the freezing / boiling point (which is also important) but the pH level.
As antifreeze gets old the pH level drops, as we know the 7.0 is considered neutral, anything below 7.0 is considered acidic. Acidic coolant will begin to attack components such as the radiator, heater core, water pump, gaskets, cylinder heads and intake manifolds and lead to a component failure, sometimes quite serious. This can be prevented by simple maintenance, we use a pH tester to determine the pH level and adjust as necessary, the most common method is to drain and flush the cooling system and simply renew the coolant, in other cases such as for diesel engines (which requires more frequent inspections) a cooling system treatment can be added to increase the pH value. A normal pH level is 9.0 to 13.0 in antifreeze.
