What does Dad do at work all day? We asked the kids. The answers did not disappoint. 😄 Happy Father’s Day to the dads of DbD!
A few scenes from NCASLA with our design team.
This is the crew behind all of our landscape architecture. This conference is always a great chance to step away from the day-to-day and get some fresh perspective for the communities we serve.
As part of our work with Alamance County, Rockingham County, and the Haw River State Trail we spent time capturing content along the Haw River — a waterway that connects communities across county lines.
A good reminder that places are rarely just one thing. They are landscapes, local stories, access points, downtowns, and regional connections all moving together.

Launch day at MOmentum!
Joplin showed up and showed out. It was such a fun day to capture the energy around Momentum Bike Park’s Grand Launch Party and celebrate alongside the people who helped bring it to life. Congrats to the City of Joplin and the many community partners who made this project possible. 🤙
There’s something special about seeing a public space become part of everyday community life.
Norris Park is a great example of how thoughtful investment in parks and gathering spaces can support connection, quality of life, and local pride.
Grateful to be part of this work in Rutherford County.

A few views from Matt’s recent site visit to Ridgway, Colorado. 🏔️
Our team is beginning work on a community-led marketing plan for the town, and these early visits are part observation, part conversation, and part getting oriented — taking in the landscape, public art, local businesses, streets, and everyday details that shape how a place feels.
We’re excited to keep learning alongside the Ridgway community as this process continues.
More to come.

What was once an unused golf course is now a public recreation asset for Rutherfordton. 🎉
Norris Park reflects what can happen when underused land is reimagined for public use, creating more space for recreation through a new disc golf course and community amenities.
We recently shared more about the project, including the planning, design, engineering, and branding work behind it, on our website.

What we mean when we say: Blueway! 🌊
It’s one of those terms that comes up a lot in our work — and a good example of how expanding access to natural assets can support both recreation and local economies.
