Go Dr. Ambrose!
Dr. Samuel Ambrose has been hired as the Assistant Professor of Tuba and Euphonium at Appalachian State University. He has a passion for the inclusion of popular, commercial, and non-traditional music into tuba repertoire. Dr. Ambrose spent a decade in the Maryland public school system serving as a band and orchestra director, has taught and adjudicated many marching bands and drum corps, and is also a co-founder and Director of Program Development with the Brass Institutes of America, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focusing on bringing excellence in brass performance and education. He holds degrees from the University of Maryland, Peabody Conservatory, and Florida State University.
