Pilots and Patrons of the Boone Municipal Airport:

I wish to inform you of an upcoming obstruction notice that will affect operations at the Boone Municipal Airport beginning Monday, March 16, 2026 and running through September 2027. For those of you who are unaware, there is a large construction project underway directly west of the approach end of runway 33. Daisy Dairy Products will be constructing a large tower on this site which will have future implications to the approach minimums to runway 33. Beginning Monday, construction crews will begin erecting one or more cranes at this site which will encroach on the protected airspace for runways 15 and 33. The FAA is aware of this and has issued its necessary restriction notices for these obstructions. A NOTAM will be filed informing pilots of these obstructions for the duration of the project. Please be sure to check NOTAMS before flying and be safe as we adapt and deal with this situation. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.
