Kappa Alpha Order - App State

The gentlemen of the Delta Psi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Order would like to announce a Coat/Canned Food drive for this winter. We started it this past Monday and have already gotten a few canned goods and coats from brothers who cleaned out their closets over thanksgiving break. If any of you guys are planning on coming through Boone over the holidays, we will have a box set up at The Big House on the front porch. The address is 128 Windy Dr. The box will be on the second level porch. We will also have a box at 1397 NC Highway 105 Bypass, which is a little farther out of town towards Banner Elk if anyone is headed that way. All donations will be going to Hospitality House, a homeless shelter here in Boone. We would love to get as much help as possible, and will keep you all updated with our progress. The drive will end at the end of January.

We regret to report Delta Psi Member Dr. Jeffrey Blake Keller passed away Friday, February 21. Keller held the Parliamentary position on the executive board during his time here. He graduated Appalachian State University in 1977. Jeff was a devoted Mountaineers fan coming to football games regularly. He retired a Gastroenterologist having practiced in multiple states. Upon retirement he became an accomplished farmer and an outdoor enthusiast.

He is survived by wife Mollie Keller; two Sons: Joseph Blake Keller and Staff Sergeant Aaron Bryan Keller.

2020 KA - Delta Psi Newsletter

We would like to recognize alumni Jimmy Thomas who was elected to the Smith Province Council of Honor. He is the first Delta Psi alumni to receive this recognition. We are very proud of Jimmy and his many accomplishments!

While we are stuck studying for finals, we wish we were all back at our formal in Tybee Island, Georgia!

The weather looks great for the Alumni Oyster Roast this Saturday! We are cooking 300 oysters and a ton of shrimp and crawfish for a low country boil! The event takes place from 11-2pm at 128 Windy Drive, Boone, NC. Parking is available for free in the Legends parking lot and we also provide a shuttle service. We are all excited for one our best events of the year!

Big thank you to the Kappa Alpha fraternity for hosting a cook out in support of the public safety agencies in Watauga County! We had a great time and greatly appreciate the support we receive from our community!
