The Mast General Store was started by Henry Taylor in 1883. WW Mast bought into the establishment in 1897 and purchased the remainder in 1913. W.
Today, the Original Store in Valle Crucis is the patriarch of this family of stores. The Original Mast General Store is located in Valle Crucis, North Carolina. First opened in 1883 by Henry Taylor, the Mast Family bought in as partners in 1897. Early in the 20th century, W. Mast bought out the remaining interest in the store. For the next 60+ years, it was owned and operated by the Mast Family. I

It's a great thing when we can celebrate two noteworthy events together, especially when both are linked with meaningful memories. ❤️
Happy Father's Day! Thanks, Dad, for all the "catches" in the front yard, picnics in the park, fixing of boo-boos after bike wrecks, hours of fishing on the banks of the river, patience as we were learning to drive, kind responses to the question "Are we there yet?" on summer vacations, and so much more. ☀️
Summers and Dads just seem to go together, and that's why this year we're celebrating both on the same day! ☺️
