28 of our students went to the AES conference in New York City this week! They had the chance to network with fellow students, employers, educators, and professionals in the industry, and they had lots of fun while doing it!

Lots happened today- we said goodbye to two old friends- one above us looming overhead making us wonder- why does the state use the lowest bidder to hang 1000lbs over their students’ heads. The second, below us, kept us grounded and humble as we remembered to always check the damn word clock.
Goodbye good cloud and goodbye Dm2k…
Also we pulled a lot of cable out of conduits! Huge thanks to my students Dylan Rackley and Juanita Miguel Esparza for taking time out of their Spring Break to lift, pull, push, and label.

Day something or other.
Found a fortune cookie under the Dm2k goading us on. Physical Plant did a lot of work today, and Sam McDonald came in mid day to help pull things out, wrap cables, and be awesome.

Day 4… I think… I didn’t get to post this last night, but console wiring, patchbays, and credenzas all freed up and ready for some demo(lition) work today. Thanks to my student, Sam McDonald, who came in late last night to undo the XLR patchpanels and the Apogee AD/DA16x units.

So much appreciation for Dan Millice for his contribution to the Wes Bryant Memorial Scholarship. Wes was an amazing individual and I hope some of his colleagues will help even at small amounts to support his legacy!
