Startup High Country announcement!
Join us on Monday, April 24th for our monthly Startup Social.
The night has many excitements in store, from networking with local entrepreneurs to hearing from inspiring speakers. We’ll also have a variety of food and drinks to enjoy.
What: Our Monthly Startup Social
When: April 24th, 5:30pm - 8:00pm
Where: Broyhill Commons Room in Peacock Hall (416 Howard St.) We suggest coming in from the Howard Street Side.
Cost: Free! No RSVP required…just show up and enjoy.
Why: Because magic happens when we get together and chat with like-minded members of our community

is taking over!✨We are a family of 5 that thrives on adventure, and there is no greater place to host that adventure than our own backyard of Boone, NC. Waypoint began as a dream 10 years ago and blossomed into a wonderful outfitters providing quality gear and apparel. We’ve been grooving for 2 years and we can’t wait for many, many more in our amazing community.
Supporting local businesses maintains a town’s character. Thank you for keeping us here and keeping Boone awesome. Grateful is an understatement and we can’t thank our community enough.

High Country Local First is a community driven nonprofit organization built to support the success of local farms and businesses through education, marketing, and networking. Our members consist of independent, locally-owned businesses, farms and organizations as well as individuals that are committed to the High Country region of North Carolina, its unique identity and quality of life.
High Country Local First strives to facilitate healthy, ongoing relationships amongst these key players in our community so that we can become supportive of one another’s efforts and to keep more of our money here in the High Country. We provide marketing for local businesses through our website, social media, and printed directory, resource sharing, peer to peer consulting, community building opportunities and other services to facilitate strong locally owned businesses and to encourage new ventures within our community.
