Since 2005, the High Country Toy Run in Boone, NC has collected new toys, gifts, and clothing for less-fortunate children in the High Country.

The High Country Toy Run was started in 2005, by a husband and wife in Boone, NC who wanted to make a difference in the lives of the poorer children of Watauga and the surrounding counties. In 2008, we incorporated under the name Eagle Rock Ministries, which is an overarching organization covering the High Country Toy Run and several other programs. Just wanted to thank everyone who came out last month to the toy run and made it such a great success. We wanted to let all of you know that we are set up at the Boone Mall right next door to TJ Maxx for our processing, sorting and distribution of the Christmas gifts for the children in the High Country. If you would like to make a donation or come out and help please stop by and visit. Financial donations should be made payable to High Country Toy and mailed to:405 Willow Trail, Boone, NC 28607. OK all you Appalachian State University Football fans; Coach Moore has once again donated a signed football and a signed football jersey that would make a great additions to your football essentials. We also have ASU football and basketball tickets. All of these items are up for bid at the 8th Annual High Country Toy Run at the Boone Mall this Saturday! Come out and join in on the fun from 9:00 am til 2:00. Everyone is invited. Bandana's Bar-B-Que and Grill will be serving lunch.

For all of you that are coming up for the weekend to enjoy the changing of the leaves and to attend the 8th Annual High Country Toy Run this Saturday at the Boone Mall, here are a few great places to stay. The Alpine Village Inn and the Homestead Inn are both in Blowing Rock. Also in Boone are the Laquinta Inn, Sleep Inn, Super 8 Motel and the Best Western. All of these hotels have helped in sponsoring the High Country Toy Run and we want to thank them!!! So come out and spend the night with them.

This one of a kind "Original" Bob Timberlake Pen Sketch depicts the wicked witch that fell into her own cauldron! It is beautifully mounted in a wooden shadow box and it is signed and dated by the artist. Come out and bid on this great item along with a bunch of other items on October 13 at the Boone Mall!
