Join us as we welcome back Lydia G! She will discuss her second book, Fire and Ice, from The Fire and Ice Chronicles series on Thursday, June 18 at 1:00 pm. Lydia will share the inspiration behind the story, read a few passages, and talk about all things dragons. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about her writing journey and the publishing process. The program will conclude with a fun dragon-themed craft activity. -Mr. Z

Calling all Dads, Grandpas & caregivers! We'd love to have you join us with your littles on Saturday at 10am for a Saturday Storytime with Ronda honoring Dads, Grandpas & our caregivers. Join us for a story (or two), music, movement and lots of fun! An activity after storytime is also included.

Join us for a special visit from Farmer Matt for Storytime tomorrow at 10:00 am. Enjoy stories, songs, and a fun craft. After Storytime, enjoying taking photos with Farmer Matt's tractor. -Mr. Z

Join us at Ericson Library in the Children's Dept. Storytime Meeting Room next week on Wednesday June 24th at 3pm for a LIVE virtual author visit from T.L. Simpson, as they chat about the YA 2026 All Iowa Reads selection, "Strong Like You." Hear from this All Iowa Reads author about their books, creative process, and ask questions about the title! Snacks will also be served, so come on over, grab a comfy chair & enjoy!

Tomorrow evening (Tuesday, June 16th at 6pm), we will host the first of a four part Substance Misuse Series. Specialists from Community & Family Resources will introduce us to the basics of substance use, its effects, and the importance of prevention. Join us for these informative discussions!

Calling all kids & teens Grades 5-12! We'd love to have you come & hang out with Emily Mallory from Emily's Papercrafts to learn to make various origami animals next week on Monday June 22nd at 3pm in the Children's Dept. activity room. All supplies provided! Come and have some fun and learn from Emily's expertise on all things paperfolding.

Join us tomorrow, June 16, at 11:00 am to welcome back Iowa Family Exotics. Enjoy a presentation and seeing a showcase of some of their animals. Enjoy meeting a variety of their animals including a Burmese python, Scrub python, Boa constrictor, Ball python, White lipped python, and Carpet python.
