Bottled the Parted Porter (oak barrel bourbon porter) and brewed Purple Lion, a honey blackberry wheat ale first made at AMB. Back in the game!

If it's a purple beer, it must be Purple Lion! Briana and I brewed this wheat ale with honey and blackberries. Collab with Celestial Brewing!

It's quite a stunning success. We started with my Belgian Tripel recipe and added lactose and then conditioned it on bananas and vanilla wafers. The result is a Banana Cream Pie Tripel! Actually tastes like the pie! We lost head retention with the additives but it's YUMMY! Nice job for us, Briana!!!

Made a new Belgian Tripel with the goal of creating a banana cream pie beer. The recipe is a partial mash brew that includes 4.5 pounds of grain--Belgian Pils, Oat Malt, Weyermann Pale Wheat, plus flaked barley, wheat, and oats--plus Pilsen malt syrup. Like the Dr Crime I brewed at AMB, this also includes brown sugar and honey! But this version also includes lactose for creaminess and mouthfeel, like a pie!

We will add vanilla wafers and bananas in secondary to finish it off and bring it all together. This reminds me of the time we did a split batch of a Belgian Tripel and added vanilla and cinnamon to one part and fig newtons to another. So so so good!

This beer, to be named later, is a collab with my girlfriend Briana at Celestial Brewing.

Briana and I are brewing a gluten free kettle sour with lovely hops and Belgian yeast! Name TBD...

Haven't been brewing much through my illness but we made our first cider, an oak barrel bourbon semi-sweet apple cider, called "Busted." Really really good for a first effort! And Briana and I will be brewing something new soon!
