Pro players get to make music with each other as well as with the up-and-comers and amateurs, creating a networking and educational aspect to the jams. . In addition to the core members, we have had around 40 guest artists join us since the beginning, including local luminaires Andy Page, Dave Brewer, Dustin Hofsess, Laura England, Nancy LaPlaca, Kat Chaffin, Jonathan Priest, and many more. Regional and national artists such as Drew Foust, Tim Marsh, Steven Foster, and New Orleans funk stars River Eckert, and Eddie Christmas and Jake Eckert of the New Orleans Suspects have joined us onstage as well! Performing about once a month in various Boone venues, the Funkupation’s appeal has grown such to be included now in several local summer series in the High Country. This year they’ll be featured in the lineups for Valle Crucis, Banner Elk, and of course at Boonerang. You can expect to hear a bunch of the Boonerang featured artists sitting in on this one!!
