Looking East from the Tennessee side of the state line, Sharpie’s lets the internet, power, and construction trucks traveling back to Boone know they are open for business.

                                       

In the wake of this storm I’ve seen people come together regardless of the things that have been recently divisive. In between trips to the state line and Watauga river clean ups I am reminded of the threads that weave us together here in Appalachia.

                                       

Anybody have a great looking office I can use for a photoshoot in the next couple of weeks?

The sun on its way down, air temperature in the mid 40s and dropping, a man walks back to his home with three small propane fuel bottles to keep a small portable heater running through the night. I’m not sure how far he had to walk to get to the Stateline Resource Station but they had what he needed for tonight.

Love it when I can play a part in a client’s successes. Look at what these cool people have done!
Last year I worked with Brian and Mira to recreate the logo for Blue Ridge Tourist Court from an original 1950s image. Brought back to life, just like this historic motel, the logo is just part of what makes partnering with cool people doing cool things so worth it.

NPS lists local hotel on National Register of Historic Places BOONE — The National Park Service has officially listed Boone’s Blue Ridge Tourist Court on the National Register of Historic Places.
