Kyle was found moments later after shooting 3 people bragging about it. Nothing he says in court about his intentions that day or his weak plea of self-defense will ever exonerate him for the fact that this is cold blooded murder in the guise of “protecting America”. Reminder: he killed 2 people and injured 1. Who was he “protecting”?

I was feeling creative yesterday and decided it’s time to publicly share a snippet of my solo show. To give some context:
I use “spoken word” form poetry à la sprinkled through the larger show in moments where I reveal what the main character is thinking.

This particular piece was inspired by an assault in NYC when I was 23.

Also note: I’m not an editor and Instagram was NOT the medium I intended to share this on. However, it’s a work in progress and I’ll be starting a fundraising campaign to do the full show live somewhere on Theater Row.

Life is a gift. I know it’s hard to realize that when you are going through it, (and I’m guilty of this to) but to take life for granted is a grave mistake as we are not promised tomorrow.
