The world feels heavy. The news is dark. People are exhausted. And most of us are carrying burdens we were never built to hold.

Isaiah 9:6 is one of the most beloved verses in the Bible but it's more than a Christmas card. It's a rescue announcement. God didn't send advice. He didn't send a strategy. He sent a Son.

In this message, we slow down and look at four names Isaiah gives the coming Messiah, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, and discover that every single one of them is an answer to a real human need.

If you're confused, he can guide you.
If you're enslaved, he can free you.
If you feel far from God, he can bring you home.
If you're worn out from carrying what was never yours to carry, he invites you to put it down.

The Son has been given. And he was given for you.

We all know what it's like to work hard and wait for payday. But did you know that sin has a payday too?

Romans 6:23 tells us "the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

The truth is you can't earn your way to heaven.

No amount of good deeds will erase the debt sin has created. But God doesn't just wipe your slate clean, He credits Jesus' righteousness to your account!

It's like logging into your overdrawn bank account and finding a trillion dollars deposited in your name.

Stop trying to be good enough. Stop carrying burdens you were never meant to bear.

Jesus already paid it all.

The gift is free, it has your name on it, and it's available right now. Have you received it?

This isn't about feeling better about yourself. It's about knowing who Jesus is and surrendering your life to Him.

The paycheck of sin is real, but the gift of grace is even more real.

Romans 6:23 is one of the most direct verses in the Bible.

A wage. A gift.
Two outcomes that couldn't be more different.

In this sermon, we walk through what sin actually earns, why God's response is a gift and not a reward, and why that gift is only found in one specific person.

If you've been trying to earn your way to God, or you've never understood what the gospel is actually offering, this message is for you.

The algorithm doesn't create your desires. It just follows them. And over time, the feed becomes a mirror of whatever your heart has been reaching for.

In Romans 1:21–25, the Apostle Paul traces the same pattern. Showing what happens when a heart consistently reaches for everything except God. The thinking goes empty. The heart goes dark. The worship goes wrong. And God, in justice, gives people more of what they've been choosing.

But the diagnosis was never meant to be the last word.

This message is about the exchange.

What we've traded away, what it's cost us, and the only One who can give it back.

What if you've been living like you're spiritually poor while an incredible inheritance sits waiting for you, unopened?

This Sunday we explored Romans 5 and the truth about what we've inherited from Adam... sin and death.

But here's the beautiful part: Jesus, the second Adam, lived the perfect life we couldn't live and died the death we deserved. Where Adam disobeyed, Jesus obeyed. Where Adam brought condemnation, Jesus brought justification.

You don't have to clean yourself up or try harder. You just need to receive the gift. God doesn't see your mess. He sees Jesus's righteousness covering you.

That's the inheritance available to everyone who trusts in Christ: not because you've earned it, but because Jesus already did everything required.

Don't miss the gift that's been offered to you. Good news is meant to be received.
