As a new school year approaches, our team and dedicated volunteers are visiting schools and communities to provide free vision and hearing screenings for elementary students.

These screenings help identify potential concerns early, giving families the opportunity to seek follow-up care before those challenges begin affecting learning and development.

Our outreach extends far beyond Boise, reaching communities across southern Idaho to help more children start the school year with the best chance to succeed.

One pair of glasses can change two lives.

That's the idea behind our Buy One, Give One Vision Center.

When someone purchases glasses through our retail center, that purchase helps provide a free eye exam and eyeglasses for someone in our community living at or below 150% of the federal poverty level, including working adults and refugees.

Based in Boise, our eye bank helps make sight-restoring corneal transplants possible for hundreds of people each year. Thanks to generous eye donors and their families, donated tissue is carefully processed and shared with surgeons in Idaho and across the U.S. and around the world.

🚒❤️ Honoring Those Who Make Hope Possible ❤️🚑

Recently, our Technical Director, Sydney Walker, had the privilege of visiting the Cambridge Fire & Ambulance District to recognize their team for the exceptional care they provided during a recent emergency response.

While the outcome of that call was heartbreaking, the compassion and professionalism shown by Cambridge’s first responders helped make one family’s incredible gift of donation possible. Because of their efforts, and the generosity of the donor and their loved ones, one eye donor went on to restore sight to two individuals, forever changing their lives.

Every day, firefighters, paramedics, EMTs, dispatchers, and other first responders are there during life’s most difficult moments. Their care doesn’t just end when the emergency does, it often becomes the first step in a lifesaving or life-changing donation journey.

We are proud to launch Envision Sight’s First Responder Recognition Program, an initiative dedicated to recognizing Fire, EMS, and dispatch agencies across Idaho whose professionalism and compassionate patient care help make the gift of sight possible. This program is our way of saying thank you to the men and women who play such an important role in serving their communities, restoring vision and bringing hope to others.

To the members of the Cambridge Fire & Ambulance District: thank you for your unwavering commitment to your community and for the difference you made that day. Your dedication helped create a legacy that will live on through the gift of sight.

Together, we are proving that even in moments of profound loss, hope can still shine through. 💙
