To be fair, SF and Progressive aren't the only insurance companies who've had to take measures with respect to Kia and Hyundai vehicles. Thanks to TikTok, many of these vehicles have been targeted by thieves and joyriders, which have resulted in severe losses for many companies. If you're seeking Comprehensive/Collision coverages for your Hyundai or Kia vehicle (depending on the carrier): you may not be able to purchase them; be required to carry a "higher" deductible (say $1,000); be required to pay the full amount for the term. If you need only liability coverages, most companies will still be able to offer you coverage as for any other regular passenger vehicle.

Yesterday morning just west of Soda Springs one of our snowplows was rear-ended by a vehicle on US-30. This is the twelfth snowplow strike of the season. Thankfully there were no injuries, but our plow did receive some damage to the sander.

Conditions over the last several days have been challenging and our crews have been working continually to keep the roads clear.

Please take the time to check in with your friends, family, and loved ones before they head out on the roads and remind them to slow down and drive for conditions. It may be March, but winter isn't over yet.
