Photo dump time of our board retreat yesterday, facilitated by the incomparable Maureen O'Toole!
π
Board meetings are often synonymous with "bored" meetings, but real transformation and innovation come from getting in there and building something (literally)!
π
We, and Idaho are so blessed to have such a dynamic group of brilliant, altruistic strategic thinkers and doers, all working together to strengthen Idaho's safety net!

It's been an amazing week to say the least!

This week, at the Association of Idaho Cities Annual Conference, we had the pleasure of introducing Our Idaho: Neighbor to Neighbor to MYAC (Mayors Youth Advisory Counsel) kids from all over Idaho!
π
The youth got a great overview of housing issues and what drives them from leadership at Women's and Children's Alliance, Corpus Commons and Idaho Housing and Finance Association, and then it was all fun and games (and learning how to network and project confidence and have fun) with Karen Manthey!
π€
We also got to see our friend and new consultant Cecilia Guzman Gracida and Mr Boise Impact Group himself had an amazing time teaching the kids too!
avenues for hope
Monday night, the Mayor of Garden City, Bill Jacobs, shared the Our Idaho: Neighbor to Neighbor Proclamation at City Hall.
π€
This is such a big step for N2N!
π
Tomorrow, we will be presenting N2N to even more Mayors, and community leaders at the Association of Idaho Cities
Annual Conference in Boise!

One of the things we love about being a part of Boise Sunrise Rotary is the opportunity it gives us to learn about nonprofits in our area and beyond!
π
There's so many people out there doing the hard work of being a safety net for Idahoans!
Faces of Hope provides a safety net of crisis services to men, women, and children experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse, stalking, or human trafficking.
Domestic Violence is a huge part of what they do, but we loved learning more about the other services they offer.
Nations United Soccer is new to us, and we were so intrigued and excited to learn more about this incredible organization.
Nations United started
co-ed soccer team composed of mostly refugee and immigrant students attending schools in the Boise School District, that has grown and has a robust coaching team of volunteers!
