The Sand Hollow Fire Protection District is asking for help from neighbors to support firefighters battling wildfires. Officials are requesting donations of items including bottled water, electrolyte drinks, protein and granola bars, trail mix, nuts, beef jerky, individually packaged snacks, body wipes, sunscreen and insect repellent.

WE ARE ASKING FOR HELP!!!!!!
As large fires continue to impact our surrounding communities, firefighters are spending long hours on the fireline working to protect lives, homes, and property. These firefighters are RFPA's, volunteers and local mutual aid departments.
We're asking for your help in supporting these crews by donating much-needed supplies. Every bottle of water, snack, and personal care item helps keep firefighters fueled, hydrated, and ready for the next assignment.
DONATIONS ARE BEING USED FOR THE BENEFIT OF RFPA''s & FIRE DEPARTMENTS IN EASTERN OREGON/WESTERN IDAHO. Vale, Ironside, Burnt River, Jordan Valley, Juntura, Huntington & any other agency that needs assistance.
Some of the most-needed items include:

Nampa and CAldwell Idaho, we need people and voices!
Valley Regional Transit, VRT is required to hold a meeting to let residents know about the proposed cuts to service. The meeting is scheduled for August 4 at the Happy Day Transit Center; it will begin with an open house at 3:30 p.m., and a public hearing will take place at 5 p.m., Clegg said, adding that any comments will be shared with the council ahead of its August 17 public hearing.
