Getting up close is part of the job. KPFF’s bridge inspection team combines field expertise with structural insight to evaluate existing conditions and uncover what’s not visible from the roadway. It’s the kind of work that supports smarter planning and stronger bridges for the communities that rely on them.

Meet our intern, Tirtha!
After seeing a catastrophic structural failure at a young age, Tirtha decided to pursue civil engineering to contribute to designing safer and more resilient structures. Today, he is pursuing is Master's degree in Structural Engineering at Idaho State University.
This summer, Tirtha is excited to learn how engineering concepts from class are applied to real world projects as he gets hands-on experience in structural design. When he's not in the office, you can find Tirtha enjoying one of his many hobbies - drawing, traveling, exploring national parks, photography, watching movies/shows/anime, or playing sports!

A milestone in mass timber—and a space built for connection.
Boise's Library! at Bown Crossing was the first project in Idaho to use cross-laminated timber (CLT) panels. KPFF provided structural engineering for this 16,000-sf, single-story library, where exposed CLT creates a warm, inviting environment that sets it apart from any other branch.
The project also marked a sustainability milestone as the first in Idaho to achieve LEED v4 NC Silver certification, using locally sourced materials, energy- and water-efficient systems, and daylight-driven design.
From its connection to Boise’s history and landscape to its forward-thinking design, this project reflects what it means to —creating spaces that strengthen community today and for years to come.

Get to know our team!
Wesley grew up in Spokane, Washington where he also earned his Civil Engineering degree from Gonzaga University. His connection to engineering goes beyond day‑to‑day practice — for several years, he’s also served as an adjunct faculty member at Gonzaga, working with students in their senior design program and supporting the transition from classroom to profession.
Wesley’s favorite structure is the Golden Gate Bridge, a structure he’s gotten the chance to study in one of his past projects. Outside of work, Wesley enjoys being outdoors camping, fishing, snowboarding, and most of all, spending time with his family. We’re excited to have him on the KPFF team and grateful for the perspective he brings!

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate 20 years of KPFF in the Mountain West! We loved sharing the occasion with so many of the clients, partners, and friends who have been part of this journey alongside us over the years.
Creating positive impact in our communities goes beyond the projects we work on — it’s also reflected in how we show up and give back. As part of the celebration, we were grateful for the opportunity to support families here in the Treasure Valley by collecting donations for the Idaho Foodbank.
As we reflect on the past 20 years, we’re grateful for your partnership and excited to build what’s next — together.
