Our precious Mom turns 95 yrs. old today. Our family is so blessed to have her in our lives. Her love for God & her family, her care for others, her warm hugs & meals around the table, not to mention her cookie baking skills, have been her trademark. She still has a joyful heart as witnessed in this video when our son, Stephen, visited from Seattle. We shared a little birthday treat. Notice mom's expression at the end.

It's been a whirlwhind year & I haven't been posting as often on Facebook. Maybe I'm slowing down in this season of life. NOT! My Etsy shop has been super busy & then just life.Recently, I was able to squeeze in a slipcover project that I've been intending to do for almost a year. Our sweet friends, Kevin Thienes & Ginny gave us this beautiful Norwalk chair set which they had purchased several years ago. Talk about good bones! When JoAnns went out of business, I picked up several yards of blue fabric that I thought would make a great update for the chair that had been well preserved. I removed the back cushion which was attached to the chair, but fortunately had a separate cushion inside that was easily removed. Voile' If only I could update my stuffed body that way as well.
