Day ten: 1/3 through the challenge. Made a quick dubstep idea using a sample I got from Monty’s patreon for the lead.

Day 9: Lofi House thing

Day 8 - today’s session morphed into a dub-techno/breaks inspired tune and I am not mad about it.

Day 7 - Sat down to try making some more autonomic dnb style stuff, ran out of time to make it very far.

Day 6 is a vibey one.

Trimming the video intro a bit so it’s right into it.

Day 5 started out at 140bpm, I got frustrated in the morning working on it and took a break till the evening. Sat back down and bumped the speed to 160 and reworked stuff into an ambient footworkish style tune.

A little 160 liquidy dnb tune for day 4

Day 3 - I’ve almost always do bass/synth work in a vst with midi notes. Today I was practicing resampling bass lines as that is a common practice. Took a big chunk of the hour to get something so today’s is a little more raw/rough.

Day 1 of 30
I’ve been practicing using breaks samples more often, this was the main focus of this session.

30-60-90 is a personal challenge to get more comfortable sharing imperfections, be more minimal in my productions, practice new skills, and flush out ideas quicker. 30 day - 60 minutes to make a 90 second idea.

I’ve always loved personal challenges, I find they help me grow quickly and learn new things. So got a new one I am starting this week.

30-60-90, I’ve been working on simplifying the songs I make, and I’ve come to realize if I don’t get to some stage of arrangement in the first session that the idea never goes anywhere.

So for 30 days, I’ll have 60 minutes to put together a quick 90 second idea. Enough that I can come back if I feel like it to finish them, or I’m just getting loads of ideas out of me.

Starting this week, I’ll be sharing the clips daily. Stay tuned!

Boise! See you next week for ! I wanted to make a little video showing some of my favorite tunes from the past decade. I’m honored to get to perform along side them and PRSN from PDX!

They have a huge catalog of music and this barely scratches the surface, definitely do not miss this show!
