Hello all, I have finally recovered from this last week and was able to gather up all the pictures taken to make one big post together for everyone to see.

Last weekend, we hosted a Celebration of Life for Jason Oxsen. The support and turnout was an immensely beautiful thing to witness. We had 150+ people stop through during the day, many staying for the full 6 hours we were there. The weather cleared up for a beautiful day overall. We had good food for everyone, We had people putting and throwing all day, we had memories shared, laughs had, and tears shed.

We had a massive Raffle that helped raise money to go towards expenses for the family related to Jason's passing. Jason always wanted "the biggest raffles" for any event he was a part of, and let me tell you, this was the raffle of all raffles. It was truly awesome to witness.

As it got to dark, we had a solid 30+ people together for a candle light vigil, and let me tell you all, that was one of the most beautiful things I have ever had the honor of witnessing. We cried, we took turns sharing memories, and we extinguished our candles with Jason watching over us all.

Thank you to everyone that helped to make this go so smoothly and enjoyable for everyone attending.

ZÜCA, Inc. for donating 2 carts to the raffle, and everyone else that contributed to prizes for the raffle,

Joe Plehal for hooking us up with tables and chairs, and JR J Harrell for bringing them out,

Andrew Whorton for the BBQ's, cooking food, and JR as well on the cooking.

Linda Solari for getting the beautiful picture of Jason made into a poster board, and for coming down and grabbing most of these pictures.

Chris Smith for bringing his PA system down.

Mark, Brendan and Amber for making the trip here to witness this community, and helping all morning to set up.

And for anyone else who brought food, helped set up or clean up, or was just present, we appreciate each and every one of you.

Thank you everyone once again, much love to all.

Celebration of Life update!

Here's the post with all information regarding Jason's Celebration of Life, this Saturday the 15th.

We are going to be getting the band shell/gazebo over by the greenbelt/river behind 7s teepad at Ann Morrison. Attached is a picture showing where it is. It is called the "old timers shelter". Please note the parking lot next to it is considered "permit only" I suggest parking along royal blvd and walking over.

We will start setting up around 11am/noon. There are bench tables at the shelter, and we will be getting some more tables and chairs courtesy of Joe Plehal with Tates. If you prefer to bring your own chair, you are more than welcome to!

We expect to be ready and have everyone start showing up around 2 or 3PM. If you would like to show up early and assist with setting up, that would be awesome!

The day will start off with some food, we plan to have a couple of BBQ's there (courtesy of Andrew W.) and I'll be getting some grill able foods for everyone to enjoy, we do ask, if anyone is able to bring side foods (salads, pastas, chips, ect.) Please do so. As well as any sodas or drinks you may want.

After the food, anyone who wishes to play a round of golf can, I will have some prizes for the winners, and a putting challenge near the shelter for those who don't want to play a full round with prizes for that too.

Once the round is over, we will have the opportunity to share stories, or speak about, and reminisce on our dear friend Jason. During this, we will also be doing a raffle, with tickets being sold all day, and all money raised will go towards expenses and the family. ZÜCA, Inc. is sending a package for the raffle, and I'll be throwing some things in as well. If you have anything you'd like to donate, bring it!

Hopefully, after all of that, we should be around dark/sun down, and we will do a nice candlelight vigil with a moment of silence to finish off the night.

We will be attempting to live stream most of this for those who cannot attend.

We hope you will join us on this day of celebration of the life and accomplishments of Jason Oxsen .

Hello again everyone,

This week has been a rough one, however we have sorted through some details and wanted to keep everyone posted.

Below is the gofundme, it will help the family to cover any expenses related to the cremation, insurance deductibles, rent for the shop so we can sort things out, legal fees, and any fees related to the Celebration of Life we have planned, as well as the Yearly memorial tournament we have planned in a few months.

The Celebration of Life will be on April 15th, at Ann Morrison Park in Boise Idaho. Start Time is TBD. We will have food, a Candle Light vigil, golf, and of course reminisce on the memories and thoughts of Jason.

We hope to see you there, and appreciate any help in getting through these rough times.

Thank you everyone.

Hello everyone, Alex here.

Most of you know already, but I figured I would make a post here for those of you who haven't heard. It is with heavy hearts to inform everyone that Jason Oxsen is no longer with us, He passed away yesterday. I will not share the full details at this time.

Jason and I have been best friends for close to 14 years, the kindness I witnessed this man put out into the world is unmatched. He helped anyone and everyone he could without expecting a single thing in return. He helped me many times when I went through rough patches. His love for the disc golf community had no limits, and he wanted nothing more than to put smiles on people's faces, and . He went above and beyond at his own expense to make sure people were taken care of, and his presence in the scene will never be replaced.

I have helped Jason at the shop for the last few years, many of you have dealt with myself when getting your next favorite disc or accessory. With that, I will do everything in my power to keep 208 Discs alive and carry on the legacy. As for now 208 Discs will be closed for the unforeseeable future.

I will be setting up a gofundme to help cover funeral costs in the next week after I hear back from his family. I will also be working hard to get a yearly memorial tournament going.

I will keep everyone updated on services, the fundraiser, the tournament, and the future of 208 discs as information becomes available to me.

We appreciate everyone's condolences, prayers, and love being sent this way.

Thank you all,
-Alex Owens
