Some personal Fuji photos to share today 🤍

To be honest, this year has been one of the hardest seasons of my life. I’ve been navigating something deeply personal that changed my day-to-day in a big way, and for a while, I really didn't know what this year was going to look like. Not just for me, but for my business too. It forced me to step away from a lot of things I once considered normal and spend much of this year in therapy, learning and healing.

Through it all, I've been super lucky to have the most amazing support system. My husband, family, friends… so many people have shown up for me with encouragement, patience, meals, texts, prayers, and love than I could ever put into words.

As difficult as this season has been, it's changed me in ways I'm really grateful for. I've fallen back in love with the little things in life. Cozy nights on the couch with friends, reading a good book, tons of puzzles, trying new crafts, getting outside, disconnecting from the internet, laughing until my stomach hurts, and documenting everyday moments on my Fuji.... And honestly, these are the kinds of moments that made young me fall in love with photography in the first place. Before weddings and before running a business I was simply drawn to the way light hit a building, an old car parked on a quiet street, little details that most people would walk right past. It's felt like reconnecting with that version of myself.

One of the biggest things I've learned is that healing isn't linear, it’s not always about one big breakthrough. Sometimes it's just noticing that today feels a little easier than yesterday. Sometimes it's choosing to celebrate the smallest victories because a few months, or even weeks ago, they would've felt impossible. I'm learning to be proud of those moments instead of brushing past them, and that's been one of the biggest gifts this season has given me.

These photos are just little snippets of that. A reminder to myself that I am strong and I can do hard things. If this year has taught me anything, it's to slow down and never take the little moments for granted. 07/09/2026

I first met C+L five years ago when they won a giveaway I was hosting. Since then, I’ve had the joy of photographing different seasons of their lives, and they’ve become one of those couples who hold a special place in my heart.

Getting together for their engagement felt less like work and more like catching up with old friends. We spent the evening chatting, laughing, and capturing some beautiful moments.

One of my favorite parts of this job is getting a front row seat to people’s stories. Watching relationships grow and lives change over the years is something I’ll never take for granted.

Next year these two officially tie the knot, and I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate them and see where life takes them next. 🤍
