Staff Spotlight: Meet Janae Larsen!
As our Office Assistant, Janae is often the first friendly face you’ll see when you walk through the doors at Lee Pesky Learning Center. From creating a warm and welcoming environment to supporting clients and helping keep communication flowing smoothly across departments, Janae plays an essential role in making LPLC a place where everyone feels valued and supported.
With a career rooted in Learning and Development, Janae is passionate about continuous growth and helping others succeed. Since joining the LPLC team in 2025, she has brought positivity, organization, and a dedication to learning that shines through in everything she does.
Fun Fact: Janae believes you're never too old to learn something new! In addition to enjoying crafting and event planning, she’s currently learning how to sew after many years of relying on duct tape for her creative fixes.

Meet LPLC's 2026 Running for Learning Team!
We’re thrilled to introduce our incredible team of 10 dedicated athletes who are taking on the challenge of the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon in support of Lee Pesky Learning Center!
These inspiring runners aren’t just committing to 26.2 miles; they’re also raising critical funds that help make our work possible. Every dollar they raise directly supports learners and families by providing the assessments, resources, and individualized support they need to thrive in school and in life.
Their dedication goes far beyond race day. Through months of training, fundraising, and advocacy, they are helping ensure that every learner who walks through our doors receives the time, tools, and support needed to reach their full potential.
Join us this summer and fall as we cheer on, encourage, and support our runners throughout their journey to the starting line in New York City. Along the way, we’ll be sharing personal spotlights on each team member, highlighting their training progress and the unique “why” behind their decision to run and fundraise for Lee Pesky Learning Center.
Together, we’re creating opportunities, changing lives, and proving that every mile can make a difference.
Stay tuned, follow along, and help us celebrate this amazing team every step of the way!
