The Western Native Trout Initiative covers 1.75 million square miles of public and privately managed lands, and crosses the borders of 12 western states.

We are guided by a Steering Committee of leaders from state, local, and federal resource management agencies, and highly respected conservation groups, all working toward the same goal – to protect and restore 21 native trout and char species across the west.
