END OF WATCH: Corporal Brandon Schreiber was helping Illinois deputies chase an alleged hostage-taker when he was shot. He passed away 10 days later.

This morning our local Honor Guard was at the Boise Airport to give a warm welcome to retired Marine Maj. Gen. James E. Livingston, a Medal of Honor recipient. Livingston is in town to be honored at the very first Veterans and First Responders Celebration on Saturday at Merrill Park during Eagle Fun Days. Livingston received the Medal of Honor for heroic actions in the Vietnam War more than 50 years ago. We thank him for his service.
