✨ Hawthorne Elementary’s Walk for Water Fundraiser ✨

Since 2021, the students of Hawthorne Elementary have been making a powerful impact through their Walk for Water fundraiser — a student-led initiative designed to raise awareness and funds for communities in need of clean drinking water.

Each year, the incredible students walk around their track at recess carrying water jugs, symbolizing the 3.5-mile journey that many women and children in underserved countries must make daily to access clean water.

In addition to raising awareness, the students actively fundraise to support a clean water project in Guatemala. Since their very first fundraiser in 2021, Hawthorne students have raised over $20,000, helping improve access to clean drinking water for more than 2,000 people!

This year, their goal is to raise $7,500 to purchase 300 water filters for families in the San Jacinto community of Guatemala, providing them with safe and clean drinking water.

We are excited to be selected as a beneficiary of Payette Brewing’s Kegs 4 Kause program! Not only will our organization be featured in their Tap Room, they also will be donating half of the proceeds from draft beer sales directly to us on Monday, June 10th from 6-10pm! We hope to see you there!!

Women’s history month starts today!
It has us thinking about an incredible woman who has played a vital role in the success of our organization, Jessica Sagastume.
Jessica has been our project coordinator in Guatemala for the last 5 years. Her tenacity for change, hard work and dedication to her community are only a few of the wonderful things about her. She is strong, loving and makes this world a better place. If you have ever had the pleasure of meeting Jessica, share one of your favorite things about her in the comments!
