Seattle is one of the 16 host cities for this year's World Cup. 35,000 people applied to be volunteers, and the Seattle coordinators eventually selected 2,000 volunteers. One of those volunteers is fellow Jitawesome Bobby Powers. Bobby is working in Fan Operations at the stadium, helping fans know where they're going and passing out a little souvenir to fans.

"I am stoked to be part of such a massive international event," Bobby said. "This is the first time I've gotten the chance to do something like this, and the energy is electric."

Bobby says he's cheering for USA and Bosnia & Herzegovina--both of whom will play a match in Seattle.

Way to go Bobby!!

Donor Thank You Letter Template 06/16/2026

A thoughtful thank-you can go a long way.

For nonprofits, donor thank-you letters are more than a formality. They’re an opportunity to recognize generosity, strengthen relationships, and show supporters how their gift is helping move your mission forward.

Whether someone gave for the first time, contributed to a campaign, or supported an event, timely and meaningful follow-up helps donors feel seen and appreciated.

A strong donor thank-you letter should:

💌 Thank the donor clearly and personally
💌 Connect their gift back to your mission
💌 Share the impact of their support
💌 Make them feel like part of your organization’s story

Free Download: Nonprofit Procurement Policy Template 06/11/2026

Summer auction season is here, which means many nonprofits are gathering donated items, selecting vendors, booking venues, and coordinating event materials.

But even when an auction feels informal, procurement still matters.

Having a clear procurement process helps your nonprofit make thoughtful purchasing decisions, avoid conflicts of interest, and maintain strong financial oversight, especially when multiple staff, volunteers, or board members are helping bring the event together.

Before your next auction, it may be worth asking:

▶️ Are purchases being approved consistently?
▶️ Are vendor decisions documented?
▶️ Are donated goods being tracked properly?
▶️ Are conflicts of interest clearly addressed?

A strong procurement policy helps create clarity before the busy season begins, so your team can focus more on the event and less on the financial guesswork.

Free Accounting Download: Nonprofit Reserves Policy Template 06/03/2026

Nonprofit reserve funds are more than “extra money.”

They’re a safety net that helps your organization stay steady when the unexpected happens, whether that’s a delayed grant payment, a sudden expense, or a shift in donor support.

A strong reserve fund can help nonprofits protect programs, respond quickly to unexpected needs, build confidence with funders, and make more strategic long-term decisions.

The goal isn’t to hold onto money just for the sake of it. The goal is to create financial stability so your mission can keep moving forward.
