In honor of his innovative teaching, Randy Thompson is the
2026 Innovative Teacher of the Year and awarded a $2,500 classroom grant to support further innovation in his classroom.

Through visionary leadership, Randy Thompson has demonstrated an exceptional ability to transform ideas into meaningful, real-world learning experiences. His work has expanded career pathways, strengthened community partnerships, and created measurable opportunities for students to connect classroom learning with future success. His commitment to collaboration, creativity, and student-centered practice exemplifies the mission and values of the Innovative Schools Project.
