The destination was always Big Sur Fire

After making a stop at FDIC, Big Sur Fire Department's Mammoth has arrived on California's rugged central coast. Built to navigate narrow roads, challenging terrain, and the constant demands of wildland response, it's right at home.

This one earned the June cover.

One of Ventura County Fire Department's Model 34 units caught at dusk, lights cutting through the last bit of daylight. One of those photos that reminds you the work doesn’t stop when the sun goes down.

Shoutout to everyone who keeps sending us photos of their BME trucks out in the world — keep them coming.

For Big Sky Fire Department, steep grades, fast-changing weather, and long access roads are part of the gig. This 750 Gallon WUI unit was built for exactly that environment: quick attack capability, maneuverability through rugged terrain, and the confidence to keep moving when conditions turn.

Equipped with Onspot automatic tire chains, this unit is ready for mountain roads, snowpack, and the kind of wildland-urban interface incidents that define the region.

This marks the second WUI delivered to Big Sky this year, joining their 1000 Gallon WUI Sabertooth. Different configurations. Same mission: rapid response in unforgiving country.

Alaska doesn’t wait around.

Between long stretches of highway, brutal winters, and calls that can turn critical fast, Palmer Fire & Rescue needed a truck built for immediate response and relentless ground conditions.

This Xtreme Type 6 Sawtooth is purpose-built to move hard and arrive faster—compact, aggressive, and ready to work when seconds matter most.

Headed north to serve the Mat-Su Valley.
