Saturday fall gardening class!
Join us at the Victory Branch on Saturday, September 27 at 2pm for Fall Gardening in the Treasure Valley! Master Gardener Anni Jack will be at the library to talk about autumn plants and pollinator-friendly garden clean up before leaves start dropping!
If you have ever seen our landscaping in front of the Victory Branch and thought "Wow!" Anni is the one who planted it! It's such an honor to have her come do programs for us.

Just a quick introduction as BOTANNI š
Things have been brewing over here for a minute and I decided to just put it out there mid-process (which is freaking painful while in perfectionism recovery š).
I have been working on starting a business that is inclusive of my future plans instead of only gardening - gardening, education, and art work. Hence, BOTANNI llc!
I have signed up for my first class in November for Hort Therapy certification. This has been in thoughts for years with my education background and horticulture high school that I attended. I am excited! I love teaching adults and kiddos and canāt wait to get back to it beyond teaching classes at the public library š
I have organized all of my photos to be edited and turned into tangible art over the winter while recuperating from surgery to remove that pesky Naughty Norm (name I gave my spinal nerve tumor discovered in Aprilās meningitis festivities). I have always edited photos on a laptop and am excited to finally purchase an adult-sized monitor in time for winter š I am planning to attend a conference next year on creativity and photography, being taught by one of my favorite photographers⦠it has been years since Iāve focused on art and it feels like it is time again!
I am continuing to garden and get my hands dirty and finding the pretties in the landscape. I have purchased the books to get certified in pest management and broaden my planty wisdom! There is a lot on the horizon for me and I am excited to share my imperfect Anni escapades in the processā¦

āA challenge in raising the profile of this tallgrass ecosystem is that so much of it is underground and therefore difficult to visualize. Enter photography.ā
Digging Deep Reveals the Intricate World of Roots If youāve ever driven past wild prairie grasses swaying in the Kansas breeze and felt a wave of appreciation for Americaās heartland, you should know that those visible grasses are just the tip of the iceberg. āWeāre pretty blind to whatās going on beneath the soil,ā says photographer Ji...
