I was supposed to head to Sun Valley today to photograph and drone some very fancy vacation homes. But, at the last second, there was a schedule change and it was pushed back a few weeks. Since I already had the drone in the car, the sun was shining and it wasn't too hot yet, I thought, Why not go downtown and get some drone photos?
It did make for a shorter day, I suppose...haha

Vaulted ceilings and loads of windows are a "stereotype" for a reason... They're AMAZING!
When I was a kid we had horrible paneling on the wall, you know the stuff that was paper thin and had knots printed onto it. There was zero texture or warmth, but it's still a childhood core memory. I was 10, I didn't know anything about style or decor.
Years later when I saw knotty pine for the first time I fell in love. It was like someone took that memory and replaced it with something next level. The feeling of the knots, the actual color of real wood and even the smell of the wood.
Now my goal in life is to have a knotty pine cabin, floors, walls and ceilings. too much?

Yes I will travel to a random place in the world because it has good drone vibes.

Most of the time when I go to photograph a new house, I don’t know what I’m walking into. It’s always fun to be pleasantly surprised with a stunner. One of my favorite things to do is envision how I would decorate things if I was the one moving in.
Not much to change when there is a knotty pine vaulted ceiling, hardwood floors and a brick fireplace involved!
